Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance

Position Summary

Job Duties

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift to 50 lbs. at a time, move up and down ladders frequently, work at heights frequently, able to work in various temperatures, and have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Valid, state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report

Preferred Qualifications

• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
• Mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls

Pay and Schedule

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
