Development Operations Analyst - University Development and Alumni Engagement
Job Summary
The Development Operations Analyst supports the development and alumni functions under the Executive Director of Development at Cal Poly Maritime. This role includes supporting CRM and database functions, such as gift processing and report production for internal and external audiences.

This position works across university divisions related to alumni, donors, and external constituents, prioritizing both day-to-day responsibilities and long-term projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Department Summary
The University Development and Alumni Engagement (UDAE) Division fosters strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance support for Cal Poly. It coordinates fundraising, donor relations, gift processing, trust and endowment management, training, and systems support for the donor database, as well as providing support and administration for the Cal Poly and Maritime Foundations.
Key Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices, program operations, and/or administrative specialty areas.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts and methods.
- Ability to learn, interpret, communicate, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty, including University infrastructure.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis; ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately, draw sound conclusions, develop recommendations, and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with multiple data sources, data definitions, and processes for obtaining data; working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn University-specific database programs (e.g., Blackbaud RENXT) and other information systems.
Education And Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. One year of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Salary And Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $57,588 - $73,044 per year
Classification Range: $57,588 - $83,904 per year

Supplemental Information
- Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
