POSITION OVERVIEW
This newly created position is an exciting opportunity to help launch and grow the organization's presence in the Austin market while supporting its expansion from 60 to 120 schools. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Development Manager will cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, corporations, churches, foundations, and community leaders to advance fundraising efforts and deepen community engagement. The ideal candidate is a passionate relationship builder who thrives on connecting people to a meaningful mission and creating lasting partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, churches, foundations, and community leaders.
- Manage a portfolio of donor prospects while identifying and securing new philanthropic partnerships.
- Represent the organization at fundraising events, networking functions, community meetings, and school visits throughout the Greater Austin area.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Development to execute fundraising strategies, donor stewardship initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
- Maintain accurate donor records, fundraising activity, and pipeline management through CRM systems and reporting tools.
- Serve as a passionate ambassador for the organization's mission while supporting continued growth throughout the Austin region.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, sales, account management, or another relationship-focused role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the Greater Austin area for meetings, events, and community engagement.
- Passion for supporting nonprofit organizations, education, and community impact.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary of $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
