Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals.
- Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors involved in the permitting and land acquisition processes.
- Oversee all permitting processes for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coverage with legal, environmental, and technical teams to ensure that all necessary studies, surveys, and documentation are completed to support permitting and land acquisition efforts.
- Maintain and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies to meet project deadlines.
- Engage with local governments, public officials, and community groups to address concerns, communicate project benefits, and ensure community buy-in.
- Stay up to date on regulatory and policy changes that impact land acquisition and permitting for renewable energy projects.
- Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites in order to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field;
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related occupation;
- Experience with land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and zoning laws;
- Experience with evaluating land and utility distribution networks for optimal siting of renewable projects;
- Experience engaging with local governments, public officials, and community groups to understand clean energy project priorities;
- Knowledge of regulatory and policy changes that impact renewable energy projects.
Pay
$120,000 - $135,000/year.
