Skills
- Solicit planned gifts through face-to-face visits, zoom, phone and written communication
- Develop and implement outreach plan for community planned giving prospects
- Collaborate with divisions to identify planned giving prospects, engage in legacy conversations and obtain legacy gifts
- Develop, plan and execute prospecting and stewardship events
- Identify planned giving prospects using data and research
- Make daily calls to planned giving prospects with the goal of building relationships and obtaining in-person meetings
- Develop targeted mailings to planned giving prospects
- Record outreach and other activity in database
- Personalize donor illustrations on the philanthropic and financial benefits, as well as the tax implications, of charitable gifts
- Work with prospects and/or existing donors and their advisors on creating bequests, charitable gift annuities, endowments, and life insurance policies
- Gain knowledge of planned giving vehicles including regular attendance at educational and professional seminars
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with planned giving donors and prospects through engagement, cultivation, and solicitation
- Promote planned giving throughout the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent communication and writing skills necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop a good rapport with a wide range of people
- Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working with various databases
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $78,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
