Skills

  • Solicit planned gifts through face-to-face visits, zoom, phone and written communication
  • Develop and implement outreach plan for community planned giving prospects
  • Collaborate with divisions to identify planned giving prospects, engage in legacy conversations and obtain legacy gifts
  • Develop, plan and execute prospecting and stewardship events
  • Identify planned giving prospects using data and research
  • Make daily calls to planned giving prospects with the goal of building relationships and obtaining in-person meetings
  • Develop targeted mailings to planned giving prospects
  • Record outreach and other activity in database
  • Personalize donor illustrations on the philanthropic and financial benefits, as well as the tax implications, of charitable gifts
  • Work with prospects and/or existing donors and their advisors on creating bequests, charitable gift annuities, endowments, and life insurance policies
  • Gain knowledge of planned giving vehicles including regular attendance at educational and professional seminars

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with planned giving donors and prospects through engagement, cultivation, and solicitation
  • Promote planned giving throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent communication and writing skills necessary
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop a good rapport with a wide range of people
  • Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working with various databases

Benefits

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $78,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
