About the role

The Vice President of Development is responsible for leading fundraising strategies, revenue growth, and donor stewardship to ensure the philanthropic sustainability of the organization. They will develop and execute comprehensive multi-year fundraising plans, set and achieve annual goals, and analyze performance metrics to optimize results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth donors, corporations, and foundations, cultivating long-term relationships.
  • Represent the organization publicly to enhance visibility.
  • Mentor and manage a development team, aligning initiatives with other departments.
  • Ensure effective systems and tools are in place to support fundraising efforts.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • A proven track record in securing major gifts.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
