Development Coordinator, Prospect Management and Research
About the Role
The Development Coordinator, Prospect Management and Research will provide full-time administrative, prospect research, and identification support to the Prospect Management and Research (“PMR”) team. This role reports to the Manager of Prospect Management and Research and works closely with the Associate, Prospect Management and Research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research using public, proprietary, or subscription databases, newspapers, published materials, and other resources to identify potential donors and funding sources for individual giving, major/principal giving, and corporations and foundations.
- Assist with due diligence research requests from Institutional Partnerships, Legacy Giving, and Major Gift/Principal Gift teams.
- Develop proficiency in maintaining and using a donor database, ensuring data hygiene for ratings, research documentation, contact information, and relevant news articles.
- Maintain organization affiliations, clean up and update policy documents, and organize team folders as needed.
- Manage the team email, respond to research request emails, and handle follow-up tasks.
- Co-manage the team’s project/task management board.
- Provide general administrative support, including database maintenance, calendar coordination, annual vendor renewals, invoice processing, and managing subscriptions for team professional development.
- Maintain and uphold professional and ethical standards set by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (Apra International).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of relevant experience in prospect research or fundraising operations.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills; demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders locally and globally.
- Solid computer skills in a PC environment, with the capability to master new software applications and technologies in database management.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SharePoint and Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Demonstrated competence in assessing priorities, managing competing tasks in a time-sensitive environment, and meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to synthesize high volumes of data and write concisely and clearly.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $56,650–$60,770 per year, depending on functional and job-related experience. Salaries at PIH are non-negotiable and determined based on internal parity and transparency.
