About the role
The Development Business Operations Coordinator for the Office of Charitable Gift Planning plays a vital role in advancing the Texas A&M Foundation's philanthropic mission by supporting the operational, administrative, and donor engagement activities of the Charitable Gift Planning team. This position partners closely with charitable gift planning professionals, Foundation colleagues, university partners, donors, and professional advisors to ensure exceptional service, operational efficiency, and donor stewardship. Based on site in College Station, this role provides opportunities for close collaboration with campus partners while supporting donor engagement efforts across Texas and beyond.
The Development Business Operations Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination for departmental operations, donor communications, gift planning initiatives, stewardship efforts, financial processes, and strategic projects that help donors create lasting impact through their philanthropic investments.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Office of Charitable Gift Planning.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and logistics for team members.
- Prepare presentations, donor materials, reports, correspondence, and meeting agendas.
- Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records within Salesforce and other Foundation systems.
- Support gift agreement preparation, financial processes, documentation, and record management.
- Coordinate donor stewardship activities, campus visits, events, and special projects.
- Respond to donor and campus partner inquiries while providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with Foundation colleagues and university partners on communications, projects, and operational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance departmental efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in administration, operations, project management, donor services, fundraising support, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive donor and financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience supporting fundraising, advancement, donor relations, charitable gift planning, or nonprofit operations.
- Experience within higher education, nonprofit organizations, or philanthropic environments.
- Knowledge of donor stewardship and fundraising best practices.
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, and executive-level projects.
- Experience working with confidential donor information and complex documentation.
- Familiarity with planned giving concepts and charitable gift planning vehicles.
- Affinity for Texas A&M University and an understanding of the impact philanthropy has on higher education.
