JOB REQUIREMENTS

Lead efforts to coordinate event logistics, utilizing project management tools and skills.

Assist with the solicitation of sponsors, securing silent auction items, and other needs to ensure successful events.

Cook up and manage development, committee, and event volunteers.

Point of contact and liaison for third party events; maintaining relationships and ensuring volunteer support.

Attend events and give presentations or speeches on behalf of DAIS; participate in community outreach efforts.

Provide support for foundation grants.

First point of contact for new donor inquiries; serving as the primary coordinator of 3rd party in-kind donation drives on behalf of DAIS.

Manage and execute accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, making timely payments, maintaining accurate records, and maintaining good working relationships with vendors.

Support the Director of Finance and Operations as needed.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field, or equivalent related experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative, customer service, or development experience
  • And Fundraising Experience Required
  • Strong Organizational And Project management skills, and experience with project management tools Required
  • Demonstrated Success And Experience With Development functions, event planning, and execution required
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer services skills as well as strong public speaking skills are required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required
  • Ability to solve problems, take initiative, and exercise appropriate professional Judgement Is Required
  • Excellent Relationship Building Skills And experience interacting with diverse groups of people, including major donors, are required
  • Ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion required
  • Working knowledge of and Experience With Excel, PowerPoint, And Word Required
  • Excellent Time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects required
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling, Payment Procedures, And Recordkeeping Strongly Preferred
  • Experience supervising and supporting volunteers strongly preferred
  • Experience with database management is strongly preferred (Raiser's Edge experience is preferred)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, proof of vehicle insurance and have access to a vehicle during work hours
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
