Developer, Open Source

For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Developer with a focus on open source to join their team. This role will lead technical work centered on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that drive long-term growth in a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the team's codebases
• Collaborate on planning, execution, and customer support for feature releases
• Implement and enhance testing strategies for code quality
• Write well-documented merge requests and adhere to best coding practices
• Support the customer service team in resolving complex issues
• Facilitate team organization and project prioritization
• Proactively seek improvement opportunities in code and tooling

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional software development experience
• Proficient with modern development toolchains and languages relevant to developer tools
• Experience in creating and maintaining documentation in public repositories
• Strong interest in developer tooling and open source integration
• Security-minded approach aligned with the company’s principles
• Initiative in troubleshooting and improving developer workflows through tools
• Prior contributions to open source projects (bonus)

Pay

$123,000 – $172,000 annually
