Critical Skills
- Exceptional experience in Python programming
- Experience with Gitlab, Docker, and containerization tools
- Deep expertise with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Orchestration and automation experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions
- Experience with AWS Cloud-based backup and recovery, including failover zones
- Experience with AWS billing and accounting to minimize oversubscription of services
- Experience with automated testing, automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines), and branching strategy and implementation
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
- Experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and either Python or Golang
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development life cycle
- Experience hosting applications on commercial cloud providers
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi
Nice To Have
- Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and Kibana
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
- Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
- Experience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles, and working with other development teams to recast work
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering
- Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field
