About the role

The Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures programs, services, staffing, and facilities meet minimum acceptable standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete monthly and quarterly reports for the ADAS Department and funders.
  • Organize monthly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings, including Peer Review, Unusual Incident Review, Risk Management evaluation, and Utilization review.
  • Set agendas for CQI meetings and record minutes.
  • Complete CQI reports and the yearly CQI Plan.
  • Assist supervisors with implementation of Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Attend Safety Committee meetings to review safety matters and present findings at CQI meetings.
  • Update the policy and procedure manual as needed.
  • Complete client intake, psycho-social assessments, and orientation paperwork.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
  • Conduct individual and group sessions for clients with substance abuse disorders.
  • Foster client participation in peer support and self-help services (e.g., AA/NA/CA).
  • Maintain documentation to satisfy federal, state, and local mandates, including clinical notes every 24 hours for continuity of care and billing compliance.
  • Uphold client rights and confidentiality regulations.
  • Coordinate discharge and aftercare services per ASAM guidelines.
  • Conduct urinalysis using CLIA-waived specimen tools.
  • Prepare for and attend weekly treatment plan review meetings.
  • Participate in quarterly completeness of record reviews.
  • Audit charts for IOP and Detox and update forms as needed.
  • Ensure counselors maintain current licensures and training.
  • Maintain CARF standards and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with clinical supervision as needed.
  • Act as a team lead with the counseling staff.
  • Assist counseling staff as requested.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid certification under the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or licensed under the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
  • Ability to obtain an NPI (National Provider Identifier) number.
  • At least one year of clinical/internship experience working with vulnerable populations (e.g., forensic and substance abuse disordered clients).
  • Addiction and treatment knowledge, including evidence-based models, crisis intervention, case management, recovery and 12-step principles, relapse prevention, and continuing care.
  • Knowledge and adherence to Board ethics policies, including client boundaries.
  • CPR/First Aid certified or in the process of obtaining certification.
