Detox Assistant - Full Time

About the role

The Detox Assistant provides safe, supervised care to clients undergoing detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs. Working under medical and clinical supervision, they monitor clients, assist with daily needs, document vital signs, and observe withdrawal symptoms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clients and assist with daily needs
• Document vital signs and observe withdrawal symptoms
• Maintain a clean, organized environment
• Support client orientation and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Complete medical documentation
• Assist with room preparations and manage inventory
• Respond to emergencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred experience in healthcare or behavioral health

Skills

• Knowledge of withdrawal symptoms and medication monitoring
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Proficiency with office technology
• Adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
• Professionalism, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities

Physical demands
