Desktop Support Technician

Description Our client is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join their PC Logistics team supporting a large-scale laptop refresh initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates, individuals with a high school diploma, or anyone looking to start a career in IT support and operations. In this role, you will assist with laptop imaging, deployment preparation, inventory tracking, shipping and receiving, and device collection efforts. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this a great entry point into the technology industry. Responsibilities Reimage and configure laptops following documented procedures Log into devices and complete basic user profile setup Track and maintain accurate records of computer assignments and inventory Prepare laptops for deployment and shipment to end users Receive returned devices and properly process and store equipment Assist with inventory management and asset tracking activities Collect and transport equipment between offices and storage locations as needed Follow detailed processes and instructions with a high degree of accuracy Maintain organized workspaces and inventory areas Support large-scale PC refresh and deployment projects Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely Reliable transportation and ability to move between buildings or office locations when required Ability to lift and move computer equipment and shipping boxes Basic computer literacy and familiarity with laptops and Windows environments Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Skills asset management, record keeping, imaging computers, shipping & receiving, logistics management, customer service experience Top Skills Details asset management,record keeping,imaging computers Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree Previous experience in inventory, shipping/receiving, warehouse, retail, logistics, customer service, or technical support Experience working with computers, hardware, or technology equipment Asset management or device deployment experience Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
