Desktop Support Technician

Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to support a fast-paced, high-volume request environment. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex MAC (Move, Add, Change) requests in a high-demand environment.

  • Utilize request management/ticketing systems to track and resolve requests efficiently.

  • Consistently meet or exceed performance targets while adhering to tight deadlines.

  • Coordinate with vendors for site surveys, ordering, and implementation of telecommunications and office technology.

  • Order, configure, and deploy technology in preparation for Return-to-Office (RTO) Day 1 readiness.

  • Perform desk-level setup and verification to ensure all equipment is functional prior to deployment.

  • Complete final sign-off of in-office technology solutions to ensure a seamless Day 1 experience.

  • Verify all shared technology (conference rooms, shared devices, etc.) is fully operational.

  • Provide Day 1 technical support to employees, quickly resolving issues and offering training as needed.

Administrative & Communication Duties

  • Document all work performed accurately within systems.

  • Provide timely updates to users and stakeholders via email and other communication channels.

  • Maintain clear, professional written and verbal communication at all times.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

  • Experience with request management or ticketing systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge or exposure to telecommunications environments preferred.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with moves, adds, and changes (MAC), deployments, and installations (less than 10 years of experience preferred).

  • Large enterprise experience is a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and flexibility.

  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $24.00/hr.
