Job Description
The Desktop Support Technician provides advanced in-person end user support for Fox Pest Control employees, serving as a point of escalation from the helpdesk. This role delivers hands-on technical support across Fox's hardware, software, and physical workspace environments, with a focus on timely resolution and clear communication throughout the lifecycle of each request.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of end user technical support experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and mobile device support.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with user account, access, and license management.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with ticketing systems and knowledge base documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a Level 2 or escalation support role.
- Experience supporting a distributed or field-based workforce.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and CRM platforms.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching to install or service equipment.
- Reliable on-site presence for hardware, AV, and workspace support.
