Desktop Support Technician
About the role
This entry-level position provides in-person and remote 1st tier IT support across all offices. As the initial contact for IT support services, the selected candidate will have patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain desktops/laptops.
- Provide software/hardware support and problem/solution documentation for local and remote employees.
- Recognize and escalate more difficult problems to Tier 2 support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT assets.
- Complete new users setup in Active Directory and firm enterprise software applications.
- Setup and manage mobile devices.
- Complete Active Directory updates.
- Prioritize tasks according to established guidelines.
- Maintain / setup / repair of office printers and plotters.
- Provide new-hire orientation and onboarding.
- Occasionally travel to other offices.
- Contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
Requirements
1-3 years of Desktop Support Experience in a 200+ user environment
Basic understanding of windows10/11. Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and computer hardware
Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Operation Systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Active Directory, Azure Services and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to provide consistent, excellent client support to a variety of personalities and management levels.
- Personable, enthusiastic and a self-starter.
- Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to remotely support employees.

Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is between $22.00 - $26.00 depending on qualifications.
Schedule
Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is required to be onsite five days per week at our Pleasanton, CA office.
