Desktop Support Level II Technician

Quantum Sky is searching for a Desktop Support Level II Technician to join the team at Grissom AFRB in Indiana. This is a complex, multi‑year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.

On‑site support is required at Grissom AFRB, IN. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance and minimal travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

• Provide support to end‑users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
• Perform configurations, installations, diagnostics, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance of personal computer products and peripherals.
• Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify and correct core problems.
• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.
• Maintain currency and the highest level of technical skill in the field of expertise.

Requirements

• Experience managing network modernization work or system projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Experience as a desktop support technician or equivalent (IT Support, IT Tech, etc.).
• Capability to deliver in‑person and remote IT assistance.
• Strong installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.
• Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.
• Superb time‑management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Forbearing, flexible, and supportive attitude.
• Active CompTIA IAT Level II certification (e.g., SecPlus+ certification).
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
