About the role
Quantum Sky is searching for a Desktop Support Level II in Aurora, CO to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services on a complex, multi-year contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
- Perform configurations, installations, diagnostics, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance of personal computer products and peripherals.
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.
- Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.
- Maintain currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.
Requirements
- Experience managing network modernization work or system projects of similar scope and complexity.
- Experience as a desktop support technician or equivalent (IT Support, IT Tech, etc.).
- Capabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.
- Fantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.
- Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.
- Superb time management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Forbearing, flexible, and supportive attitude.
- On-site support in Aurora, CO.
- Active CompTIA IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Minimal travel required, less than 10%.
Pay
The salary range for this position is typically between $25–$30/hr. Compensation is unique to each candidate and based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and other requirements. The range may fall outside the stated values.
