Desktop Support

About the role

We are seeking a contract IT support professional who may transition to a permanent role, responsible for all IT issues at an assigned site. The position involves delivering second‑level desktop support, managing PC inventory, and assisting in critical IT initiatives while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Frequent travel is required, offering the opportunity to work in diverse environments and tackle varied challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT support contact on‑site, addressing and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Manage PC inventory effectively, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in proper working condition to support operational needs.
• Assist actively in various IT initiatives, contributing to the advancement of technical solutions and systems.
• Provide second‑level desktop support with a focus on excellent customer service, ensuring end‑user technical needs are met efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles, preferably within the Oil and Gas sector, handling both hardware and software challenges.
• Technical expertise in managing server environments, particularly Windows Server 2019, and proficiency with Cisco networking gear.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting PC, LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions in dynamic work environments.
• Possession of a valid TWIC Card, an excellent driving record, and a reliable vehicle for on‑site travel.
