About the role
TEKsystems is seeking Desktop Deployment Technicians to support an expansion project. This individual will assist with the preparation, deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of end-user technology throughout a newly constructed clinical tower. The project includes deploying approximately 400+ devices and supporting a large-scale healthcare technology rollout. This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with hands-on deployment experience who enjoy project-based work and working within a team-oriented healthcare environment. Successful contractors will work alongside the IT Field Operations team and receive guidance from dedicated onsite team leads.
Responsibilities
- Unbox, stage, and prepare desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices for deployment.
- Image and configure computer systems according to standards.
- Label and inventory hardware assets prior to installation.
- Deploy workstations, monitors, printers, and label printers throughout the new facility.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and issue resolution during deployment activities.
- Validate device functionality and perform deployment testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and deployment tracking records.
- Follow established procedures and maintain attention to detail throughout the deployment process.
- Collaborate with Field Operations personnel and project leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of desktop support, hardware deployment, or IT field services experience.
- Experience deploying PCs, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
- Basic troubleshooting skills in Windows environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous large-scale PC refresh or deployment project experience.
- Experience supporting healthcare environments.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
