Responsibilities
- Assemble a complete symbols list and common project notes from the REI Standard with moderate supervision.
- Mark up and model PV, DG, BESS, and/or MV power plans and fill in panelboard and feeder schedules with moderate supervision.
- Apply and perform Rosendin standards for wire sizing, transformer feeders, and protection from published schedules and other site-specific design documents.
- Calculate illumination levels and layout fixtures at the direction of an Engineer or Senior Designer.
- Calculate power loads, size feeders, size protection, and determine the estimated demand load summary for a distribution system under the direction of a Sr. Designer or an Engineer.
- Create details as required to define installation for construction.
- Layout electrical equipment, including clearances, with minimal oversight.
- Layout PV arrays, MV, BESS, and/or site lighting for site plans under supervision.
- Ability to review manufacturer submittals for electrical characteristics under supervision.
- Provide direction to other designers on a project.
- Effective fieldwork and surveying skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Chat, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illuminance software, Autodesk Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Map3D, Google Earth.
- Manage multiple tasks according to the supervisor’s direction.
- Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements positively.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
Requirements
- Calculate illumination levels and provide layouts based on the results of the calculations and complete energy compliance docs for inclusion on drawings.
- Has a working knowledge of load summary and power calculations.
- Develop a complete set of design documents with minimal supervision.
- Ability to provide direction to other designers on a project.
- Effective fieldwork and surveying skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Chat, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illuminance software, Autodesk Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Map3D, Google Earth.

Qualifications
- Some college or technical training in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Designer.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $36.05 - $47.50 hourly. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
