Designated Manager / Area Manager

Connection Services, LLC cares for adults with developmental disabilities in 4-person group homes in the Bloomington area. We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join our dedicated, caring team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that programs under the Area Manager maintain a high quality of services by supporting and evaluating service delivery for individuals receiving services.
• Support quality service delivery by analyzing each individual's Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP), CSSP addendum, and other programmatic forms in accordance with federal and state regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
• Work closely with program supervisors across the 7 group home locations to support client needs and prepare for and attend all meetings with the care team.

Requirements

• Must qualify as a Designated Manager under MN Statute 245D.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledge of 245D licensing requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Willingness and ability to maintain good employee relations and morale.
• Ability to work in a variety of settings and with a variety of personal care needs without direct supervision.
• Ability to effectively use a computer and software, calculator, household appliances, smoke alarms, etc., with training.
• Ability to accept and incorporate new methods into existing practices and implement therapeutic interventions as required.
• Ability to master the use of all physical intervention and assistance techniques necessary to meet the needs of assigned individuals with disabilities.
• A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance is required.
• Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study; employees in driving positions also subject to a Motor Vehicle Background check; continued employment contingent on cleared background study and satisfactory MVR.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: one of the following combinations:

• A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; AND three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.
• An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; AND three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.
• A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to
