Design Verification Intern
About the role
Quadric is seeking an intern to contribute to the development of its innovative general purpose neural processing unit (GPNPU) architecture. This role will focus on verifying and testing the software and hardware co-optimized for running neural network (NN) inference workloads across various edge and endpoint devices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and designers to document test plans and write/debug tests.
- Generate and analyze test coverage metrics.
- Work on both neural network code and conventional C++ DSP and control code execution.
- Use SystemVerilog, SystemC, or C/C++, with UVM as a plus.
- Write scripts in Python and utilize language models to automate tasks.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies for CPU or GPU designs.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, SystemC, or C/C++, with UVM as a plus.

- Demonstrated capability in problem-solving, debugging, and clear technical communication.
- Coursework or project experience with Computer Architecture, RTL Design, ML systems, or performance engineering.
- Exposure to assembly or low-level code generation.

Pay
The hourly rate for this temporary internship position is $45.00/hour to $60.00/hour. The actual rate offered will depend on a number of factors, including the specific level of the role, years and depth of relevant experience and education, technical skills and competencies, and work location.
Schedule
The internship is expected to be full-time, 40 hours per week, and typically lasts for a period of 12 weeks.
