Design Technologist II, Prime Video
About the role
As a Design Technologist at Prime Video, you'll be a key part of the Experience Design organization, proving, advancing, and evolving forward-thinking UX concepts through prototyping and hands-on product work. You'll collaborate with design leadership, stakeholders, designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to bring design ideas to life and drive concepts from idea to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey and advance the vision of future products.
- Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work alongside designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to drive concepts from idea to implementation.
- Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise (e.g., web, mobile, TV).
- Develop prototypes using frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS/JS, React.js, Redux, and Motion.js.
- Create prototypes using AWS Bedrock to envision Gen AI-powered experiences for customers.
A day in the life
You’ll build prototypes across the Prime Video customer journey, from content discovery to new playback experiences, including X-Ray, live sports, and advertising. The team develops high-fidelity prototypes for TV, mobile, and web clients, often demoing them to senior leadership to showcase the future of Prime Video.
About the team
We’re scrappy yet detail-oriented, balancing speed with high-fidelity execution. The team brings its own design vision while supporting design and engineering partners to accelerate shipping. We also collaborate closely with UX researchers to test new experiences with customers and gather feedback.
Requirements
- 2+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience.
- An available online portfolio with coding samples in front-end programming languages.
- Experience with web, mobile web, or mobile app front-end development.
- Experience with UI design for complex workflows and end users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, and responsive/adaptive design.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and source control (Git).
- Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
Pay
- USA, CA, Culver City: $131,800.00 - $178,300.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, San Francisco: $151,600.00 - $205,000.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $131,800.00 - $178,300.00 USD annually
