About the role
The Design Production Coordinator supports the product development process for either Apparel or Graphics/CAD from concept to production. This position ensures timely execution of deliverables, maintains organization of design assets, and collaborates across teams to achieve seasonal goals. The role is based at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Apparel:
- Develop a strong understanding of the product development process and manage deliverables for each stage.
- Update trimsheets and maintain accuracy throughout the product development process.
- Enter and manage data in PLM and Smart Sheet, including lap dip entries.
- Track fit samples and ensure timely delivery to Design and Tech teams for review prior to fit sessions.
- Prepare materials for daily production needs (e.g., Pantones, submits, artwork).
- Maintain organization of samples, submits, trim boards, and related assets.
- Assist with meeting preparation by assembling chip boards and supplemental visuals.
Graphics/CAD:
- Prepare final artwork for print and digital deliverables.
- Ensure design files meet print and digital specifications (bleed, color profiles, resolution, etc.).
- Select materials for graphic execution: Pantone ink colors, appliqué and embroidery materials and colors.
- Retouch, resize, and adapt graphics across various platforms and formats.
- Maintain consistency across visual outputs following brand guidelines.
- Work closely with CAD/Graphic designers and project managers to meet production timelines.
- Add artwork to product renderings, tech packs, and construction diagrams.
- Organize and maintain libraries and files.
- Prepare and print physical copies of artworks to be mailed to vendors.
Requirements
Apparel:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fashion, or related experience.
- Experience in PLM systems a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Graphics/CAD:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Fibers, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 1 or more years of experience in a CAD or Graphic design production or design assistant role (internship experience considered).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and Kaledo (CAD Design).
- Strong eye for color, pulling and matching Pantone standards to execute prints on fabric.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
