MAJOR FUNCTION
Aids Design Consultant in scheduling, preparing, and following up on design services for Haverty Furniture customers. Attends client homes with Design Consultant to ensure proper furniture placement and color coordination, and recommends additional furniture and accessories as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assists Design Consultant in scheduling or attending qualified home visits.
- Attends in-home visits with Design Consultant and assists with all aspects of the visit.
- Helps Design Consultant build personalized presentations using approved templates and SWAGGER displays, including furniture placement and room plans.
- May draw floor plans using Havertys.com's current floor planner software.
- Provides feedback to Design Consultant and Sales Consultant after each visit and upon completion of the floor plan and presentation template.
- Assists Sales Consultant with creating special-order SKUs and sales reserves.
- Helps Sales Consultant create floor plans for in-store clients to visualize purchases, assisting in closing the sale.
- Provides constructive feedback to improve sales and increase average ticket size.
- Keeps up-to-date on special sales, financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc.
- Supports customer selections and helps bring sales to closure.
- Uses My Sales Center to access and follow up with customers.
- Maintains knowledge of various furniture styles and products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in interior design or related field, or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training.
- ASID certification preferred.
- Current valid drivers license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation with minimum state required car insurance.
- Knowledge of email, Room Planner software, Microsoft Office components, Internet software, and Full-shot image ware.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Regular lifting and moving of items weighing more than 20 pounds.
