Major Function
Assists Design Consultant in scheduling, preparing, and following up with design services for Havertys customers. Attends client homes with Design Consultant to ensure proper furniture placement and color coordination, recommends additional furniture and accessories, and assists with in-store engagements.Specific Duties
- Once introduced to the client, schedules or attends qualified home visits with Design Consultant.
- Visits customers' homes during evenings and weekends as needed.
- Aids Design Consultant in all aspects of in-home visits.
- Helps Design Consultant build personalized presentations using approved templates and SWAGGER displays.
- May draw floor plans using Havertys.com's current floor planner software.
- Provides feedback to Design Consultant and Sales Consultant after each visit and upon completion of the floor plan and presentation template.
- Assists Sales Consultant with creating special-order SKUs and sales reserves.
- Supports Sales Consultant in creating floor plans for in-store clients to better visualize purchases.
- Offers constructive feedback to enhance sales and increase average ticket.
- Stays updated on special sales, financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc.
- Encourages customer selections and helps close sales.
- Uses My Sales Center to follow up with customers.
- Maintains knowledge of various furniture styles and products.

- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field; 2-4 years related experience; ASID certification preferred.
- Licenses: Current valid driver’s license with a clean record and reliable transportation with minimum state required car insurance.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of email, Room Planner software, Microsoft Office, internet software, and full-shot image ware.
- Physical Demands: Regularly lifts and moves more than 20 pounds; frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
