Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a prominent presence at the Judicial Center, 100 Broad Street, Charleston, SC, ensuring court security across various judicial settings.
- Engage with the public.
- Craft detailed reports.
- Address callouts.
- Serve as an official within the Court system.
Requirements
- Average workweek of 30-35 hours, typically between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00pm.
- Must pass the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy's 10-day Limited Duty Training Program.
- Must obtain firearms and taser certifications within the first year of employment.
Qualifications
- Be a Citizen of the United States.
- Retired sworn law enforcement officer (Class 1 or 3).
- Possess a current valid SC driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one.
- Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
- No pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
- No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
- No student loans in default status.

Pay
HIRING HOURLY: $26.19
