Job Summary

This position supports multiple CONUS projects that may require travel. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of progressive experience. Key responsibilities include identifying change orders, managing cash flow, maintaining as-builts, and communicating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
  • Price, track, and manage change orders.
  • Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
  • Maintain as-builts as work is completed. Document project issues/conditions.
  • Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Research and compile submittals; price change orders and prepare estimates for partially designed projects by completing the design and preparing a complete project estimate.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Communicate with people outside the company, representing the company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives.
  • Clearly understand the timeliness required for decision making, submission of RFIs, and documentation of all verbal conversations or agreements.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required for access to classified information.
  • Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
  • Education: BS (Preferred EE or Industry related degree).
  • Experience: Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor; experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M; experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals; experience with CPM Scheduling; knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects; strong interpersonal and writing skills; proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others; proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.

Preferred Skills

  • Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations.
  • Prioritize Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling Experience and proficiency (or equivalent).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project locations as needed.

Pay Range

USD $104,240.00 - USD $156,360.00 /Yr.
