SMX is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join the integrated program management office (PMO) in a leadership position supporting multiple contracts, task orders, and projects. The role serves as a liaison with government points of contact and assists the program leadership team with staffing, training, administrative oversight, and operations management.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordination of priorities and resources between multiple projects.
  • Reports status, develops program/project-related documentation, implements lessons learned, and updates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned programs and projects.
  • Supports business development activities, including new market capture opportunities and proposal development.
  • Supports operational planning, execution, and evaluation of a multi-faceted program requiring collaboration with customers to identify new project opportunities.
  • Supports the orchestration/development of operational data calls, report outs, and performance products to bolster SMX posture for current and future business.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the government’s program managers.
  • Develops short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in accordance with contract parameters.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Demonstrable success in government contracting (DoD preferred) through prior work experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Previous experience in DoD Joint Operations.
  • Previous experience in tactical and strategic operations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives.
  • Experience interacting with and briefing senior government and industry acquisition leaders on programmatic, technology, and financial status.
  • Experience supporting large contracts leading complex development, production, and/or support initiatives with technical objectives.
  • Experience with the SOCOM and PACOM in a Program Management or Technical Leadership role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline (desired).
  • MA/MS preferred.
  • 15+ years of management/supervision experience in information, Joint Operations, and intelligence programs.
  • Personnel and budget management and execution experience.

Desired Skills

  • Deep understanding of and relationships with the Intelligence Community and federal interagency partners.
  • Experience managing global projects.
  • Experience with managing relationships with non-US military personnel.

Pay

The proposed salary for this position is $140,000 USD - $175,000 USD, determined by factors including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.
