Responsibilities
- Help manage affordable housing and rental assistance programs.
- Assist with planning, improving, and launching housing programs and new initiatives.
- Support leadership by identifying ways to improve programs and services.
- Ensure housing programs follow all rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), Project-Based Voucher, and other rental assistance programs.
- Monitor program performance and recommend improvements when needed.
- Help increase voucher use, build relationships with landlords, and improve the resident experience.
- Create programs that meet the needs of residents and promote long-term housing stability.
- Use reports and data to track program success and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with housing authorities, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, landlords, developers, and community partners.
- Represent the organization at housing meetings, community events, and partner meetings.
- Work with community organizations to expand housing resources and improve services.
- Supervise and support staff by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Aid in onboarding new employees, managing workloads, and coordinating with other teams.
- Track budgets, grants, contracts, and other program resources.
- Ensure daily operations support the organization's mission and goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- 3+ years of experience administering public or assisted housing programs.
- Experience in affordable housing or community development program operations.
- Working knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs and HUD-regulated environments.
- Ability to support program improvement and operational change.
- Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) structures.
- Experience supporting budget management, grant-funded programs, or contracting.
- Experience working in cross-sector or collaborative housing initiatives.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to obtain required certifications.
- Commitment to equity and resident-centered practice.
