Responsibilities

  • Find the work and execute it. Actively support and coordinate with the entire commissioning team to execute projects and uphold our commitments.
  • Must have knowledge of manipulating, adjusting, setup and testing HVAC controls systems such as JCI, Trane, Automated Logic, Siemens, etc.
  • Review air and water test and balance process, review a TAB report and identify issues.
  • Create system installation and testing documents.
  • Be familiar with OSHA safety requirements and ability to identify deficiencies.
  • Be familiar with building codes and ability to make intuitive decisions related to such.
  • Read and understand building plans and specifications.
  • Work safely around electrical systems up to 600 volts.
  • Effectively communicate with all clients, construction trades, and design professionals.
  • Have a high aptitude for abstract reasoning, assertiveness, thoroughness and be very detail oriented.
  • Work flexible hours and work in hot or cold environments.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and lift trucks. Do moderate lifting.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and commissioning - building systems
  • Proven commissioning experience
  • Commissioning process certification preferred or willing to acquire within the first 6 months
  • Strong leadership and business development capabilities

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional Engineering License a plus or able to acquire

Skills

  • Knowledge in multiple control systems a plus
  • Complete working knowledge of HVAC chilled water and DX systems including design, operation and testing of: Chillers, Boilers, Cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, AHU, RTU, ERU, VAVs, exhaust, FCU, etc.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift trucks.
  • Ability to moderate lifting.
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Benefits

Pay

$137,000-176,000 annually, depending upon other factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule based on experience.
