Responsibilities

  • Find the work and execute it. Actively support and coordinate with the entire commissioning team to execute projects and uphold our commitments.
  • Capable of performing design review of Sequence of operation and creating mechanical system testing procedures and testing same in the field.
  • Must have knowledge of manipulating, adjusting, setup and testing HVAC controls systems such as JCI, Trane, Automated Logic, Siemens, etc.
  • Knowledge in multiple control systems a plus.
  • Complete working knowledge of HVAC chilled water and DX systems including design, operation and testing of: Chillers, Boilers, Cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, AHU, RTU, ERU, VAVs, exhaust, FCU, etc.
  • Review air and water test and balance process, review a TAB report and identify issues.
  • Visit client facilities and gather necessary data to test systems.
  • Create system installation and testing documents.
  • Familiar with OSHA safety requirements and able to identify deficiencies.
  • Familiar with building codes and able to make intuitive decisions related to such.
  • Read and understand building plans and specifications.
  • Work safely around electrical systems up to 600 volts.
  • Effectively communicate with all clients, construction trades, and design professionals.
  • Have a high aptitude for abstract reasoning, assertiveness, thoroughness and be very detail oriented.
  • Work flexible hours and work in hot or cold environments.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and lift trucks.
  • Do moderate lifting.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Accomplished engineer with 10+ years of experience
  • Commissioning experience
  • Commissioning process certification preferred or ability to acquire within first 6 months
  • Business development experience a plus
  • Professional Engineering License a plus or ability to acquire
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
