Responsibilities
- Find the work and execute it. Actively support and coordinate with the entire commissioning team to execute projects and uphold our commitments.
- Capable of performing design review of Sequence of operation and creating mechanical system testing procedures and testing same in the field.
- Must have knowledge of manipulating, adjusting, setup and testing HVAC controls systems such as JCI, Trane, Automated Logic, Siemens, etc.
- Knowledge in multiple control systems a plus.
- Complete working knowledge of HVAC chilled water and DX systems including design, operation and testing of: Chillers, Boilers, Cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, AHU, RTU, ERU, VAVs, exhaust, FCU, etc.
- Review air and water test and balance process, review a TAB report and identify issues.
- Visit client facilities and gather necessary data to test systems.
- Create system installation and testing documents.
- Familiar with OSHA safety requirements and able to identify deficiencies.
- Familiar with building codes and able to make intuitive decisions related to such.
- Read and understand building plans and specifications.
- Work safely around electrical systems up to 600 volts.
- Effectively communicate with all clients, construction trades, and design professionals.
- Have a high aptitude for abstract reasoning, assertiveness, thoroughness and be very detail oriented.
- Work flexible hours and work in hot or cold environments.
- Climb stairs, ladders, and lift trucks.
- Do moderate lifting.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Accomplished engineer with 10+ years of experience
- Commissioning experience
- Commissioning process certification preferred or ability to acquire within first 6 months
- Business development experience a plus
- Professional Engineering License a plus or ability to acquire
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
