Deputy County Attorney: Litigation Division

This is a professional position in the field of municipal law in the County Department of Law. The employee may exercise general supervision over subordinate attorneys assigned to the same division. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Senior Deputy County Attorney or other higher-level attorney staff member. Does related work as required.

Responsibilities

• Professional legal work in the Litigation Division of the County Department of Law
• Exercise general supervision over subordinate attorneys in the division
• Work under the general supervision of a Senior Deputy County Attorney or higher-level attorney
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements

• Duly licensed to practice law in the State of New York
• Substantial civil litigation experience in New York State and Federal Court
• Civil trial experience preferred
• Ability to work well with judges, lawyers, court administrators, and other individuals within the court system

Pay

$87,000 - $125,000 annually
