Department Supervisor

About the Role

Provide communication, leadership, direction, and timely information to both associates and the management team. Maintain a high level of safety, quality, and department morale while overseeing employee work assignments.

Schedule

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with manager and other departments to ensure distribution center goals are met in both budget and production.
• Provide training and guidance to encourage steady growth and development of capable, contributing associates.
• Identify and promptly resolve safety, production, and communication problems to prevent missed deadlines and schedules.
• Communicate with other management team members to coordinate operations and facilitate a smooth, efficient workflow.
• Maintain building integrity concerning inbound and outbound processes through consistent monitoring.
• Ensure associates comply with corporate, distribution center, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree or relevant training may be acceptable.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations in a distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with subordinates and managers.
• Computer literate with strong Word and Excel skills.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs individually.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
