About the Role

San Diego State University's Department of Psychology Clinical Program is accepting applications for part-time lecturers to join their temporary faculty pool. Positions are often filled just prior to the start of the fiscal year, requiring availability on short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to doctoral students, including evidence-based assessment and intervention.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a closely related field.
  • Experience with clinical supervision, specifically of doctoral-level trainees.
  • Demonstrated expertise as a scientist-practitioner.
  • California licensure as a Psychologist.
  • Applicants must disclose any final administrative or judicial decision issued within the last seven years determining that the applicant committed sexual harassment, as required by Education Code 89521.
  • Authorization to conduct a background check, including a criminal records check, is required for finalists.

Pay

Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the salary ranges for lecturer ranks are:

  • Lecturer A: $6,288 - $7,658 per month
  • Lecturer B: $7,127 - $15,211 per month
  • Lecturer C: $7,830 - $16,697 per month
  • Lecturer D: $9,883 - $17,490 per month

Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer B or C rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
