About the Role
San Diego State University’s Department of Psychology is accepting applications for its lecturer pool. Temporary appointments may be full- or part-time, often made on short notice prior to the start of an academic term. The Fall term runs mid-August to late-December; the Spring term runs mid-January to mid-May. Summer teaching opportunities may also be available. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewable based on satisfactory evaluations and work availability.

Pay
Initial rank and salary are determined by professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the monthly salary ranges are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211
Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
