About the role
The Department of Psychology at California State University, Bakersfield accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool will only be good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, including first-generation students.
Rank and Salary
Lecturer and salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position's appointment is subject to budgetary authorization.
- Lecturer AY (Range 2) – $5,507 – $6,677
- Lecturer AY (Range 3) – $6,221 – $13,224
- Lecturer AY (Range 4) – $6,825 – $14,523
- Lecturer AY (Range 5) – $8,593 – $15,211
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time assignments.
