About the role
Department Managers lead shifts, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee multiple departments such as the People, Guest, and Kitchen Departments, and manage Shift Managers.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards in terms of safety, security, and profitability.
- Communicate effectively with Shift Managers to prepare them for their shifts.
- Meet and exceed departmental targets and contribute to overall restaurant goals.
- Perform Shift Management duties as needed.
- Manage internal communication, inventory, and daily maintenance.
- Train and supervise staff, focusing on food safety, quality production, and exceptional customer service.
- Handle scheduling and ensure a balanced team composition.
- Oversee safety and security protocols.
Requirements
A previous leadership role within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred. Positive team player attitude and flexibility are key. Must be 18 years or older.
