Department Managers
About the role
Department Managers lead shifts, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee multiple departments such as the People, Guest, and Kitchen Departments, and manage Shift Managers.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service, cleanliness, and safety.
- Communicate with Shift Managers to prepare them for their shifts.
- Ensure team members meet McDonald’s standards and targets.
- Manage inventory, food safety, and daily maintenance.
- Lead the People Department in hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Support the Guest Department in providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage the Kitchen Department in maintaining quality food production.
- Handle internal communication, scheduling, and training.
- May take on Shift Management responsibilities.
Requirements
A previous leadership role within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred. Positive team player attitude and flexibility are required. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Skills
Leadership, communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills are essential. Knowledge of McDonald’s standards and procedures is beneficial.
