About the role

As a Department Manager, you’ll lead your team to create an inclusive culture that supports collaboration and entrepreneurship. Your responsibilities include ensuring an excellent customer experience, analyzing sales data, and optimizing results and profits.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Sales & Profit
    • Ensure visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines
    • Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
    • Manage sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge as well as other relevant information during customer interactions
    • Manage your department in a cost-efficient way
    • Handle administrative tasks such as transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Keep up-to-date with the fashion scene, trends, and competitors
    • Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers
  • Team & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop your team
    • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
    • Communicate regularly with store colleagues through daily and weekly meetings
    • Follow procedures and legal requirements in all areas of the store
  • Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house areas
    • Ensure high-quality product presentation and stock levels
    • Manage the full garment cycle and fitting room routines
    • Secure a strong balance and maintain price signs according to guidelines
    • Update and maintain BOH areas for all colleagues

Compensation: Expected base salary range is $26.60 - $30.59 hourly
