Department Manager
About the role
The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
- Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring great customer experience, sales promotions, and staff training.
- Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring high-quality food delivery, food safety, food cost control, and staff training.
- Lead the People Department, hiring qualified staff, training them, and scheduling them to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate them throughout their time at the restaurant.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald's restaurant.
