About the role

This job posting is for a Department Manager position at a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. Applicants will be employed by the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Oversee sales promotions and train service staff in procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and maintains food safety standards.
• Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
• Hire, train, and schedule crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support Crew members during their first days at the restaurant and motivate them throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for working in the McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to communicate effectively in English.

Skills

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food service operations and safety standards.
