Department Manager - Irrigation - Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)

About the role

The Bilingual Department Managers at SiteOne Landscape Supply serve as the Irrigation experts in the branch, working closely with customers on any or all needs within the department to ensure excellence.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Branch Manager in the sales and operations planning process, statistical demand forecasting, and supply-demand plan integration.
• Create a safe and incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training, and policy execution.
• Understand and execute inventory management principles, target customer mix, and sales.
• Build a positive environment for employees that fosters teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
• Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Irrigation product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to positively impact business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of irrigation products, preferred.
• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals; including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets.
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher, preferred.

Skills

• Strong customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 annually depending on experience.
