About the role

As a Department Manager, you’ll lead your team to create an inclusive culture that supports collaboration and entrepreneurship. Your responsibilities include ensuring an excellent customer experience, analyzing sales data, and optimizing results and profits.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Sales & Profit
    • Ensure visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines
    • Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
    • Manage sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers
    • Manage the Customer Loyalty App and in-store sustainability initiatives
    • Handle administrative tasks such as returns and exchanges
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and competitors
    • Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers
  • Team & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop your team
    • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
    • Communicate regularly with store colleagues
    • Follow procedures and legal requirements in all areas of the store
  • Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house areas
    • Ensure high-quality product presentation and garment care
    • Manage stock levels and allocate products
    • Follow best practices for fitting rooms and checkout processes
    • Secure a strong balance and maintain price signs
    • Update and maintain BOH areas

  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills
  • An analytical approach to problem-solving and managing statistics
  • Achievement-oriented and motivated by performance and competition
  • Knowledge of fashion trends and the ability to represent the H&M brand positively

Additional Information

Compensation: expected base salary range is $23.50 - $27.00 hourly
