Department Manager
Description
The Department Manager role supports either the service side of our stores or the backroom product flow function (production).
About the role
This multi-faceted role is part of Savers, an international thrift retailer. The mission is to champion reuse and inspire a future where secondhand is second nature. Savers supplies its stores with gently-used, one-of-a-kind items donated by the community to local nonprofit organizations. These items are purchased directly from nonprofit partners, diverting billions of pounds of used items from landfills and onto store racks and shelves for reuse, and providing partners with valuable funding.
Responsibilities
- Support store operations and customer service
- Manage inventory levels and ensure smooth product flow
- Collaborate with team members to enhance customer experience
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Contribute to the overall success of the department and store
Requirements
- Experience in retail or related field
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
