About the role
The Department Manager position at Savers is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple stores within a designated territory. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and driving sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of assigned stores, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase store profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Manage employee relations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with regional managers to coordinate initiatives and support cross-store projects.
- Monitor store performance metrics and report findings to upper management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in retail or a similar industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail management software.
