About the role

The Department Manager position at Savers is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple stores within a designated territory. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned stores, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase store profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage employee relations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to coordinate initiatives and support cross-store projects.
  • Monitor store performance metrics and report findings to upper management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in retail or a similar industry.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and customers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail management software.
