About the role
The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, responsibilities include ensuring a great customer experience, managing sales promotions, training staff, and scheduling employees to meet sales and profit goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service every visit.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
- Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and fast service, while controlling food costs.
- Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
- Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees by helping them get off to a good start and motivate them throughout their time working there.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with scheduling.
- The ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
- Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this role.
