Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a manager, you will ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience, manage staff, and adhere to departmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
• Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and controls food costs.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and a passion for working in the McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
